You could say Im a pretty lucky guy. .44 isnt that bad to shoot out of a gun like this, but much more and I can see why many arent a fan. Target wasnt great as it was pretty difficult to get it sighted in, but the gun seems more accurate than i am a shooter.
Now to get a red dot and take it to a cowboy silhouette match.

Cant say I can remember ever shooting a handgun, aside from a Taurus Judge.
I've shot a number of rifles. And I'm certainly not going to win any Marksman contests. Regardless though, shooting is great fun. Especially if you can find cheap ammo.

I didn’t know you could run one of those at aCowboy Action event. I thought it was all single actions.
That’s a double action S&W right?

I love shooting magnum revolvers - Taurus also makes an excellent gun for the money. Is that the 6 3/4" inch one? I checked the specs and its actually heavier than my old Ruger Blackhawk 44 7.5" barrel by an ounce so I imagine it’s not bad to shoot at all.
44 Special has gotten hard to find (I load my own now) but it makes that gun even more fun to shoot if you can get your hands on it.

I dunno about there, but here in Aus they let you just convert your gun to single action for the match.

Taurus raging hunter. It would be the cowboy silhouette, i doubt this fits in the rules for cowboy action challenge matches.

I find a 357 mag to be a good middle ground, but it’s hard to beat a big bore for smiles

I wasnt really enjoying shooting my compact, but I enjoy shooting this.

.44 is a lot of fun on bowling’s balls and steel targets. Hand cannon.
A red dot will definitely extend your range. A few guys hunt deer with that set up around here.

I would be giggling. As much fun as I have shooting my Smith and Wesson 1917 .45 pistol. A big modern style revolver sounds fun as well.

.44 (in this gun at least) is not that bad. My hand wasnt sore at all. You can feel it in your bones though. Definetly scary and tough not to flinch. Double action is impossible to shoot, luckily I was outside and all I hit was dirt.

I was worried I wasnt going to like it but Im actually stoked with my purchase.

That’s fair, this one looks like it has a lot more barrel than I’m used to in a revolver :)
I’ve not been to the range in far too long. Need to find one around here to visit now and then.

.44 is way more fun to shoot than the .500. You get 95% of the fun without feeling like you got punched in the face with the backblast. Personally I am a 1911 guy but a good revolver is always welcome. Earlier this week I went to a place for some sporting clays with my Mossberg 590a1. People did a quick double take when they saw I managed to swap a 26" barrel from an 835 on it.

Ditch the speed loader, wanker!

Still haven't shot a 1911 so I can't comment. It was close but I decided it was at least possible i would get some real world use out of this thing.

Does my high capacity clipazine offend?
I was surprised how cheap they are vs. m agazines. Although only one company makes very high quality loaders that explicitly support the raging bull.

Unless you get one chambered for 10mm it definitely will pack less punch than the .44. I just really like the ergonomics of the 1911 and I can operate everything blindfolded with either of my hands.

A real man learns to speed load by hand. :v

Recoilwise I like .45 1911s compared to alot of plastic 9mm.

Mostly I dont like shooting my 9mm compact because the damn sights are off

Ah, but if one achieves sufficient dakka, one does not need to aim. Clearly you need to remove your sights entirely and convert to a full auto sear.

Ouch, full auto sear in a sin gle stack stubby mag... Better off just folding the stock on my ak and using it like a pistol
